EVOLVE: Spatial—Special—Species—Spectacle

Welcome to the 2010 Spatial Design End of Year Exhibition
— EVOLVE: Spatial—Special—Species—Spectacle
— which profiles a range of postgraduate and undergraduate
student projects. EVOLVE is an exhibition that inaugurates
Spatial Design’s participation in the AD10, School
of Art and Design Festival.

AD10 work by Spatial students lead visitors from
St Paul’s Street through to Mount Street and into our Spatial
Design (WW) Dadley Building. On Opening Night
(10 November) a range of live performance work reveals a
taste of the dynamism and diversity from our programme.
Each work explores different tangents of spatiality from
theatre, event, fashion, installation and performance design.
Throughout the exhibit there are examples of student
work from the various spatial disciplines including
interior design, urban design, featuring competition proposals
for developing the Mount Albert precinct, projects
which use rapid prototyping to develop unique ways of
inhabiting space and more performance design work displayed
as site specific sound work and video installation.

It will be an exciting event and we look forward to seeing
you at the exhibition!
