Spatial Design at AUT

School of Art + Design, AUT University, Auckland, NZ

Semester 2, 2010

Semester 2 is well underway! We’ve already held an Open Night aimed at future students, which was very successful, and the next Porte-Cochère Exhibition is coming soon. We have Units working on urban design for Mt Albert, sound and filmic spaces, the design of a Plant Use Centre, a competition for the reconstruction of a church as a performance space, a formal study into folded space, experimental camping spaces, and the integration of landscape and interior. There are Honours and Masters students working on haptic environments, proximate urbanism, the intersection of art and architectural practices, and oceanic space. Don’t forget to walk around the building and talk to people about what they’re doing!
